Hey there! I've been playing you're game a little bit, and I've run into a few bugs so far, I'll put them below.

1. Lady welcomes you to the Cedolan Department Store instead of Gold City Department Store
2. Missing ending punctuation
3. Don't have a screenshot for this one, but when you battle the trainer Twig, their VS. sprite and trainer/OW sprite don't match.
4. It says Bagon costs 1800 coins but it actually costs 2800 coins.
5. This event is left here from beta testing and asks you what to set the story variable to, with options being 14-17.

As for the last bug, what is the story variable supposed to be set at after you talk to Giovanni the second time and he asks you to go to the town east of the Cobalt desert? I haven't done anything in that town yet. I fear that I've accidentally advanced too far into the story because I was unable to exit out of that event.

Enjoying the game so far!

Thank you for showing me those bugs. I will fix those and update the game. The variable outside of cobalt desert depends on whose side you are on by then. Here they are if you want to continue playing from the correct variable. If you handed the prototype over to team magma and decided to quit team rocket, the variable should be 16, 17 if you decided to stay team rocket. If you did not hand over the prototype to team magma in iron cave and chose to quit team rocket, the variable will be 14, and 15 if you chose to stay. Of course, talking to her is completely unnecessary and I will remove that vestige of playtesting as soon as I get a chance to update the game. Thank you for playing and helping me improve!

Also, the strength stone in gold city doesn't move yet, but it's only for a post game area.

I think you need to go back to the rocket hideout. If I did it correctly, you should now be able to access the lower floors. I kinda forgot to add any NPCs telling you where to go after Manganese village

So I finally finished! I made a review video on it on my channel, you can find it here. I'll also share some of my thoughts here, but everything will probably be explained better in the video.
Firstly, the 4 (maybe 5, idk) possible endings for the game is something super ambitious but something that I think is something super unique and exciting. Personally, my story was not handing over the prototype and not quitting Team Rocket, and I thought it was mostly well done. I'm going to guess that each possible storyline follows the sameish progression (going to the same places, etc.), and to do that is even more impressive.

I also enjoyed the ending, as I thought the payoff of seeing what the prototype would do peeked my interest through the whole game. Maybe it was revealed what the prototype would do before, but I probably forgot/didn't pay attention to that dialogue.

I always enjoy listening to some B/W music in any game, and I enjoyed the themes you pulled from those games. Comparing the areas that each theme was in to their respective B/W location, some of them didn't match up but when listening to each theme itself, I thought all of them fit their respective situations.
Most of the custom maps that were made I thought didn't have a ton of detail. Especially the desert and its adjacent town, I thought could've popped a little more. In my opinion, I think adding just a little bit of elevation would fix this problem.

I think that a lot of the story was done through telling, not showing. The two game-changing decisions were the big examples for me, when the game asked me directly what I wanted to do. I think that finding my indirect ways of doing this (battles, some sort of interaction, etc.) would have made these better.

Finally, I think my biggest issue with the game has to be the Pokemon Selection. I felt like there were just too few types available, which made certain battles really difficult and other battles pretty easy.
Overall, I think this is a really good first game! I can't wait to see what comes next from you!

Thank you so much for playing my game and giving me this detailed and helpful feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I will take your feedback into account next time I work on a fangame.

Hey there. gave this a play through, like a poster above I beat Magma pal-rival, stayed rocket but handed over the second prototype. Anyways, doesnt look like much left to do; beat all trainers so far (except 'creator' - that's fine), lighthouse guard wont let me through, rocket still guarding stairs down to next level in the rocket base.

Thank you for playing my game! It will be a little bit until I have time to fix the issues. If I programmed it correctly, you need to have all the Regis in your party for the lighthouse guard to let you through. There isn't much else for postgame. If the rocket guard won't move, that might be impossible, so I'll fix that as soon as I can

Have you tried unzipping it with something like WinRAR? It works fine for me after I have extracted the files.
