Released Pokémon Meteor 2

Introduction:
An RPG Maker XP and Pokémon Essentials fangame project, by bravestbat.


Plot Summary:
Pokémon Meteor 2 takes place in a fictional region known as Fuso. The player lives in the island of South Fuso, forced to work in its harrowing mines. Your goal: defect into Fuso City and settle an old grudge with your rival. This is easier said than done however, as law enforcement is more than eager to toss defectors into Crook Island Prison!

Pokémon Meteor 2 differs from traditional Pokémon games as it does not follow the traditional Gym-Elite 4 structure. Instead, this game features a heavily story-driven plot, while retaining the same battle system and mechanics from the franchise. This game is a sequel to a previous project of mine, but is otherwise a standalone story.

I had a game titled Pokémon Meteor; although I never officially released it. This game takes places 9 years after the events of Pokémon Meteor hence its name. However, you don't need to play the first game to understand Pokémon Meteor 2!

Main changes:
- Player character sprite changed
- EXP Share now available in Fuso City
- Overhauled the end of demo cutscene
- Small tileset changes
- Some NPC rosters have changed slightly

- nerfed Kirika, Chief Beef (2), Denali, and a few Ace Trainer battles
- Overhauled the South Fuso map tiles
- Changed items in Route 403 and Route 404
- Added new items such as Frost Ball and Artisan Powder, that can be bought in the Downtown Mall
- Aqua Jet is now a Move Tutor move (replacing Autotomize)
- Bubble is now 40BP
- "Adventure" in the intro screen is replaced with "Backstory"
- Main rival sprite is changed
- Ability changes: Zubat (Rattled), Golbat (Poison Touch), Crobat (Poison Touch), Snorunt (Ice Scales), Glalie (Ice Scales)

- adjusted some NPC rosters to help with level scaling
- changed the roads in Hino Town
- changed some of the tiles in Fuso City to make it look a bit better

- fixed tileset errors
- reduced the prices of all the Repels

Hi, everytime I use the link and try to download, when it finishes downloading, there's nothing on the file. It takes awhile to download and once it finishes, there's nothing. It says there's 0 bytes on the file even. I wanted to know if I'm doing something wrong or what.

Hey! Again, apologies for the late reply. I'm not really sure what could be causing that as the file is still hosted. :/ The file size itself is rather heavy due to the music files I had used at the time.
If you're interested, I have a beta version for Pokemon Meteor 2's successor Fuso's Meteor. It covers all the events thus far in Meteor 2, but with improved graphics and game design. It's less than 800MB so easier to download. I will be making an official release in August most likely, which will contain the next several chapters of the story. The link will be posted in the description above.

Hey, quick update since I haven't posted on here for a while. The official release of Fuso's Meteor will be delayed until November. I have fallen a little behind on the progress due to real life work commitments. The official release will have 4 new chapters, continuing where Meteor 2 left off. Additionally, I will be updating the game to Essentials 19.1 which will make the game run smoother. I would also like to have the game beta tested before official release (anyone interested, please let me know). Because all of this will take time, I felt I'd rather delay the release instead of releasing a half-finished inferior product. Sorry for the delay, but I hope you will be excited for what's in store in Fuso's Meteor. I know I am!

Bad news: the new demo is still not ready for release
Good news: I am putting the finishing touches to the last town of the demo. One more route, a ton of eventing, and then the conversion to v19.1 - then I will be ready for a closed beta release.
