Just tested out v19 and it's still doing that thing for me where if you have an item on a Pokemon (e.g. slot 1 of the party) and send that Pokémon to the box, all the party Pokemon slide up one slot as expected but the items stay where they are in terms of party slots. As a result, the item in the boxed Pokemon's original slot is effectively duplicated since it's still in Party slot 1 on the Pokemon that used to be in Party slot 2, AND on the newly boxed Pokemon.

Upon closer inspection it looks like the newly downloaded v19 rb file is identical to the old one I was using before with the "pkmn" changes made to it. The fix for the party items not moving correctly may not have been saved on your end?

Whoops! That was my bad. Here's the correct version of the script!
