Pokémon Haze [Discontinued]

Heya, I'm Monika and I'm here to introduce a small and upcoming project that we've named Pokémon Haze! It's a game that's still in heavy development with over 200 planned fakemon and regional variants. We will also have two new planned types for this game, Mutant and Plastic types. This game will take place in the made-up region of Motroit, a smoky region overrun by all different types of greed and pollution. In this game there will be multitudes of different side quests and a lot of post game content! On your journey you will be tasked with stopping the vile Vita Company and Dendros Inc, both teams with completely different plans about the fate of your region. You will also meet some wacky characters like the flirty Professor Velvet, his harried assistant Monika, the self coconscious rival Cassius, and many unique gym leaders and supporting characters! I hope that you will join us on an adventure within the Motroit region!

A little more insight into how this game will (hopefully) work:
Mechanics and Gameplay
This Black and White styled game will follow the normal pokemon layout in the main storyline, with 8 gym leaders, an Elite 4, and the Champion. After the main game is completed there will be many side quests and storylines unlocked, including the post game region of Corodel, which is planned to include 4 additional gym battles, unique pokemon encounters and side quests as well as "The Big Three", which are the Elite Trainers of the region.
This game will not include HMs and will instead include various key items as a replacement, and they can be upgraded along your journey by one of the minor characters.
Pokémon
This game includes a majority fakemon, with a few regional variants as well as some basic retyping of original pokemon into the plastic and mutant typing. This game will include mega evolution and will not be including Z-moves. The few normal mon that might be implemented within the game will all have fan made evolutions.

I'd like to finally introduce our regional professor, Professor Velvet! Professor Velvet is a pokemon professor that dedicates his life to protecting the endangered pokemon of the Motroit region, all the while researching the new pokemon that constantly seem to be popping up in the most remote parts of the region. He's very efficient and helpful, but he is often seen as frivolous by the populace because of his flirty tendencies towards all the male trainers. The region's population generally views him as lazy and don't think too highly of him, but he gets the job done well and doesn't let it get to him.

Now introducing our protagonists Asher, Alex, and Vivi! Coming from the starter town of Tiort, you live alone with their mother in relative poverty. You were unable to go on a pokemon journey for a few years because of your families lack of income and ability to give you a starter pokemon. You are resigned to live a normal life until your name gets accepted into the coveted starter lottery, what will your adventure hold?

An introduction to our fakemon starters in the Motroit Region, Coniki, Sizzliz, and Kittuna!

Coniki, The Fawn Pokémon, Grass Type.
A Motriot native pokemon that's number has declined quickly in the years of the industrial revolution because of the destruction of their forest habitats and hunters shooting them for their meat. Professor Velvet has managed to conserve the last of the species and maintain their meager numbers in his lab through careful breeding.

Sizzliz, The Fire Snake Pokémon, Fire Type.
A once extremely common Pokémon, they quickly became nuisances because of the burned grass and foliage they leave in their wake. Due to homeowners considering this a problem they set out traps for Sizzliz filled with poison, which would end their lives in minutes. Due to this large movement Sizzliz are now only found in the furthest outreaches of the region where no humans live.

Kittuna, The Catfish Pokémon, Water Type.
A small ocean dwelling kitten, this pokemon is known for its tender meat and water resistant fur for coats. The remnants of their species, when found, are either shoved into aquariums or sequestered away by researchers for unholy experiments. Professor Velvet has kept his own small population that stemmed from his own starter Pokémon.
