First of all, I'm glad that you clicked on this thread, even if it is to take a look !
Before I talk about the game itself, let me introduce myself.
I'm Bluffs, 19, and I've been a pokemon fan game enthusiast for a couple of years. Untill recently, I never had the "balls" to try something myself, eventhought my head was filed with ideas, characters, fictive regions, fakemons...
But now, I finally decided that it was time to do something of these ideas, and here's what it became:

I/ THE REGION: HELENOS

Welcome to Helenos ! Situated near Kalos, this region was (untill recently) centered on itself, sticking to traditions and focused around their faith in Arceus, the pokemon god. Due to its diverse biomes (which are mainly inspired by southern europe, and its mediteranean climate), Helenos is home to a wide variety of pokemons. Most of its cities are old fashioned, and the inhabitants are mainly farmers. But then again, some cities on the shores are now big, cosmopolitan cities, mainly trading with the nearest regions, Kalos (west) and Johto (east).
The diverse mounts in the region are linked with mystical and mythological beliefs. But there's another thing: Helenos is a really old region, and it was home to many prehistorical pokemons, more than any other region in the world.
The region has a quite nice amount of islands and even an archipelago.
The desert of Helenos is (oddly) one of the most populated area of the region, due to its proximity to the second biggest city of Helenos (on the east coast) and the biggest archeology center of the region.
Now onto something that has to do with a lot of regions in pokemon: the gyms. There's a important thing to note: the story takes place 52 years after the adventure of our beloved Red. The region has only recently grown and there's still no gyms or league. Due to this fact, the region is filled with mafia leaders, that fight for the control of Helenos.
II/ THE STORY
The pokemon world is finally at peace, 65 years after the great war ended. The World Council now governs the world of pokemon in perfect democracy, naming League Masters that beat them to represent them in the diverse regions of the world. You're 21, and you became the League Master of Sinnoh after beating its league and the World Council. Unfortunately, your mom died due to a cancer, leaving your old father alone, without any money. You did what you shouldn't: you faked defeats in official battles for money. However, the World Council wasn't stupid, and they eventually noticed. Taken down, you had nothing left, but a proposition: go to Helenos, and create the basis for the pokemon league. But in order to do that, you have to beat the organisation that controls Helenos at the moment: M.Y.T.H.O.S...
III/ M.Y.T.H.O.S
I told you that Helenos was a region filled with prehistorical pokemons, and M.Y.T.H.O.S knows it too. Their Leader is not known from the public, but he has a lot of generals that he let fight for territories, as long as they give him a part of their work and allegance. They're 8, and each of them control a certain part/city of Helenos.
But what is the aim of this organisation ? Create a mass production tool to revive prehistorical pokemons, that should get back the land they rightfully owned. To accomplish this, everything is allowed: kidnapping scientists and workers, stealing supplies or pokemons, making inhabitants paying fees (and in the case they refuse, they'll get physically assaulted). M.Y.T.H.O.S needs to be stopped, and that's why you're here.
IV/ FAKEMON IDEAS
So I'm garbage at drawing but I came up with some ideas concerning some pokemons that could live in such a region.
Starters/
Grass type: Cudrill (inspired by a woodpecker). This pokemon is basically something I had in mind for a pretty long time. Im my mind its feathers look like thin leafs. It has a short but wide tail, and a thin beak that looks like it could go throught any tree. Its belly is white, and the dominant colour is black, with few patches of green. Its eyes are big and supposed to make him look cute. Its posture should make you think that its proud.
Fire type: Salamember (inspired by a... gecko ! got you). I imagine this little dude looking like a redish leopard gecko. The thing is, you can see throught its wide tail, and what you can see is a redish-violet poison that Salamember can use in battle. It has wide reptile eyes, and fairly tiny legs.
Water: Vidraqua (the name comes from vidra, greek for otter). This guy should be reeeeeally thin, and long. Its dominant colour should be the brown, with touches of blue. The important part of its body should be its mustache, but I can't figure out how it should look.
V/ FEATURES (hopefully...)
1) The construction of the league: As I told you earlier, there's no league in this game. During your adventure, you're supposed to create it. In order to take control of a location, you need to beat the local leader. After this, you will have to chose who will be the champion of the main city of the zone, in a list of npc you met (original npc, with a story that could be developped with a sidequest, not a frickin' youngster Joey...).
2) The Olympics Games: You may have understood that the region is based on Greece. And what do Greece had: Olympics Games !
3) Evolutive world: You can bond with specific npcs. You'll also be able to buy a house in the capital city and decorate it with stuff you bought.
WHAT AM I ASKING FOR ?
I'm now confident with mapping and scripts, but I'm working from scratch right now, with what I can take from the internet. That's why I'm looking for people that are able to:
- Sprite and draw/imagine fakemons
- Map and script
- Develop the lore, characters
This is my first project, and it is ambitious. But it is close to my heart, and it has been a dream since I was 15. Now that I finally have time to work on it, I won't let it down.
