As someone who's had to come up with their own rules for certain games to make them a little bit more fun to play again, I'm down with all the different locke's I've seen out there. Makes things a little more challenging and fresh.
I've actually been wanting to try a Nuzelocke sometime soon...
I'm not really all that opposed to the idea - most shinies I've gotten were gifts anyway - but I feel like it would make it less rare, overall. I mean, if everyone has that exact shiny, it's not as cool anymore. And you don't get that thrill of encountering it in the tall grass and squealing at...
I only ever played a mobile version on my own phone, and while it was time-consuming, I just never got into it. I still don't know what draws people to it. Maybe it's because I never played online with anyone else, but still. I don't really think it's my type of game. Maybe I'll try it again...
Same. Though I think Gen IV and Gen V mesh better (better, but not goodly) than Gen III and Gen IV, which I see the most often.
For me, I have a nice list because I get irked really easily:
- Anime characters (especially Ash) in the game, unless it's a game derived from the anime. For me, it...
I with the Llama on this one. One of the things that I absolutely disliked about HM's were how kinda useless they were in battle. I mean, cool, I can clear away fog in battle. 10/10 best game evar. Especially considering I can only recall two places in that whole overworld region where I would...
Honestly... I just kinda drew up a map out of the deep, dark, spooky confines of my mind.
But it's name, Ralleh, is just an alteration of Raleigh, the state capital of NC.
Give your evil team/antagonist a realistic goal. Don't just have them be evil just to be evil. The most important question to ask in that situation is the 'why'. Why are they doing what they doing. To some degree, any objective - even extreme ones such as freezing an entire region - could be...
I never really liked some of the new battle styles, like triple battles or more rather, rotation battles. They just always frustrated me, even when I always won.
Oh yeah, I've definitely cut some stuff out of games in my time. I've probably cut more than I've released. Lemme see all that I can remember across all the games I've made. You might wan't to settle in by a nice fire, maybe make a mug of hot chocolate. This is going to a decently sized list...
I never said to give every single weak Pokemon a Mega - just that it would level the playing field for some. It just feels a bit unfitting for Pokemon of the likes of Garchomp, Salamence, Tyranitar, Metagross, etc, to have Megas when they're already strong as it is.
I think you covered it in the main post. The Pokemon that need Megas, in my opinion at least, are the ones that are a bit weaker and don't really match up to some of the stronger ones. Kinda like how a Butterfree or a Chatot likely aren't on the same level as a Garchomp. I don't really know my...
That's fair. Though, I personally like the Shorts Youngster and the "technology is incredible" dude moreso than most other references. Mainly because they kinda are memes that started in the Pokemon games, so it feels more natural to see them game-to-game moreso than the "over 9000" trainer.
Cop out or not, the online stuff in Gen IV-V(especially since it was wireless) was easily one of the big things back in the day for me. It was awesome to be able to just up in and team up with my brother or sister in the Battle Frontier, and/or battle them.
Another, probably bigger feature to...
Whelp, I'm probably jumping the gun by posting this so early. Eh, oh well. I'm actually pretty happy with it.
Map Name: Resurrect
Trial: Trial I - New Beginnings

Critique Requested: No, it's perfect. Yes please.

Notes: Uh, well. It's a map. A mappy map. A map made...
Well, I mean there's a difference between "Oh, I have no idea what to do or where to go, so I'm going to stop playing" and "Oh, that roadblock is an NPC standing in the way until I get the badge. That's boring so I'm going to stop playing." But I do get what you mean.
Reiterating my point, as...
I have honestly nothing better to contribute to the Kanto discussion than that nice fond memory of the time I caught my first shiny - a Rhyhorn - in the Safari Zone. I was pretty scared that it was going to run away, but I caught that sucker.
