This resource pertains to version 21.1 of Pokémon Essentials.
  • Replaced the map_metadata.txt PBS file included with this plugin, as the old one contained invisible junk data that prevented certain features from working.
  • Updated Dynamax animation to be compatible with trainer sprites of any size.
  • Improved the organization of debug menu options.
  • Made various additions in preparation for the Raid Battles add-on plugin.

  • A held Choice Scarf will no longer apply its speed increase on the same turn that a Pokemon Dynamaxes. Speed and priority will now be properly recalculated upon Dynamaxing to negate the additional speed granted by this item, as intended.

  • Fixed a compatibility oversight with the Animated Pokemon System add-on that would incorrectly display Super Shiny hues on non-Super Shiny Pokemon.
  • Fixed an issue where the sprites of Dynamax Pokemon would be displayed off-center during the Dynamax animation.
  • Spinda will now properly display its spots during Dynamax animations.
  • Fixed a compatibility issue with the Animated Pokemon System add-on that would cause some sprites to display the incorrect Super Shiny hue during Dynamax animations.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent Transform/Imposter from copying the correct form of the target.
  • Made some minor adjustments in preparation for the release of the Animated Pokemon System add-on.
  • Dynamax mechanics will now show up in battle logs when battle logging is enabled.
  • Made some minor adjustments in preparation for the release of the Wonder Launcher add-on.
  • When an NPC trainer's AI wants to save Dynamax for their final Pokemon, it will now only count inactive party members. Previously, a Pokemon didn't count as their final one if they still had other active battlers on the field in double/triple battles.
  • The overlay that appears on Dynamax Pokemon is now animated by default. This can be disabled.

  • Fixed a typo that would cause a crash if a Max Move was used that is being converted into a different type by an effect.
  • Fixed a typo that would cause a crash if a Pokemon was forced to Struggle.
  • Removed Relic Castle link from the meta file.
  • Fixed an error that could occur when attempting to Dynamax species that are evolutions of regional forms.
  • Fixed an issue that would prevent battlers from updating their ability after Dynamax.
  • Fixed an error that would occur when editing Dynamax metrics on a species that does not have a shadow sprite.
  • Fixed Dynamax HP calculations on wild Pokemon with boosted HP.
  • Compressed the audio files for all Gigantamax cries, as they were large enough to cause lag before.
  • Added missing cry file for Eternamax Eternatus.
