Pokémon Hydro Bliss is an open world game with two regions and over 900 new maps.
Your previous poke-knowledge will only carry you so far! There are 300 new moves to learn, a major mechanics overhaul to understand and a rebalancing of species to comprehend.
The game was created on RPG Maker XP and Pokémon Essentials and has been in development since 2017.

STORY:
The game is battle-focused. Your goal is to obtain all 18 badges from either region and enter the Regional Championships Tournament.
Exploring the world and advancing the main story lines are optional and can be done whenever you feel like it.
In addition to the usual suspects, you'll encounter three new suspicious gangs each with their own agenda...

Hello loving the game so far. I have run into a small snag on the gym Supaze Town. I get this error when I use Cottonee for some reason if I use a different pok'emon everything is fine. When the Error happenes it skips the Gym leaders turn and feels super unfair. :(

That was a bug in Leech Seed's AI in major battles. It was fixed in 2.10.10. Download the latest patch and the issue should resolve. Great to hear you've liked the game so far!

Awesome thanks!!! Really enjoying the range of pok'emon and the maps are beautiful. I would say my only real critique which is kind of a nit pick is that I would like more select options for my box, so that it's less tedious to organize. i think i just encountered my first fak'emon from a trainer and i was legit intrigued and filled with a bit of curious wonder.

100% + 5*25% = 225% which means that even the weak version of Exp. All more than doubles exp gains. This does three things.
1) The level curve gets absolutely wrecked without level cap which many players don't want to use.
2) The item becomes so powerful that it feels mandatory to have. And that would mean it would need to be handed out immediately (doing battles before getting Exp. All is inefficient). Players would feel incentivized to skip everything until they get the item.
3) All the other exp boosting items and grinding methods I've created would become obsolete.

As a compromise, I made it so that level capped mons give their share of the exp to other Pokémon. That makes Exp. All a very convenient item without any drawback. It also multiplies EV gains by 6, which alone is ridiculous compared to something like Macho Brace. I hope this helps everyone understand my unpopular game design choices!
Oh, I didn't know that having a capped mon removes it form the calculation and passes it to the others. That should definitely help with the grinding quite a bit.
Thank you for this input! I really do like what this game has to offer so far.

A question that I apologize if it was already asked in this thread before, but I've been trying to figure out the statues with braille puzzle regarding to the abandoned mansion and the catacombs and couldn't really figure out what to do. I'm pretty sure I've interacted with everything.
Is there a complete guide to this, or am I supposed to return to it at a later point? I currently have 3 gym badges and on the way to get my 4th.
Thanks!

I can help with this one, having figured it out the other day. I haven't reached the end yet due to still needing certain things, but... without giving it all away, pay very close attention to the wording, and then think about your Pokemon friends.

Personally, I think this is one of the most brilliant aspects of the entire game so far. The puzzle in that town and the way things interact reminds me of Emerald in the best possible way, and I cannot give enough props to the team for this.

What are the lvl caps is there anywhere i can check in game? off soft strict stern? does it cap my lvl or do my pok'emon just stop listening to me like some other games.

Love the game but do have a few questions and also a error to report, 1st question is Alolan raichu in the game if so how do i get or evolve my pikachu in to one, 2nd question is ursaluna in the game if so ursaring evo info is blank, 3rd question where can i get some heart scale i need to relearn a few moves, as for the error in Charleston City there is a grunt above the pokecenter robbing a woman that has different errors on different levels when you battle him, when you battle him with 3 badges he gives a error after defeating or catching his first pokemon after error his side stays empty you can switch or attack but nothing happens and the same error return and this loops infinite, on 4 badges the same loop happens but this time it triggers when hes tries to send out his weepingbell, also i play on the currently latest version
here are both error logs in order:

The level cap formula is:
12 + 4*badges + a - b, where:
a = 2 after 1 gym, 3 after 2 gyms
b = 2 if Stern lv cap, 0 otherwise

-Alolan Raichu is not in the game, I'll add it in 2.10.13
-Ursaluna is not in the game (the 2 fakemons took its place). Ursaring has been buffed.
-Heart Scales can be found on any Underwater map (7 badges for Dive). Until then, you can receive a limited amount of them from NPCs.
-I'll fix the Rocket guy, thank you for posting the error messages!

There's been a consistent error during important battles, as in, every non-filler trainer that has a somewhat good team and advanced AI, that was letting me cheese the battles by having infinite turns without my opponent being able to move, and specifically when I used Deerling/Sawsbuck.
Any move I use with them, the following error pops up at first:
image.png

After that, my move goes off as it would, and then the turn ends without my enemy doing anything. This loops infinitely and only stops once I switch out to a different mon. This lets me just breeze through most tough fights even if I were to lose, because my opponent won't attack.
I suggest looking into it since there might be something weird about the AI anticipating a move from Sawsbuck.

Other than that, I personally feel like the Dark Gym is not very balanced towards being gym 4 specifically, since all the mons in there are already fully evolved while most of mine weren't. I went back in there as gym 5 when my mons were better prepared and the fight was still difficult but much more manageable.

I also still feel like the EXP All is way too slow, since I need to fully exhaust like 3 routes and all the gym trainers as well as using the VS Seeker to catch up to the level cap, and by the time I do, another one opens up. Please look into a way to make it at least somewhat more forgiving.

Been having a fun time doing the DexAll challenge, especially with the reward I got after 125 captures.

Keep up the good work!

That is the same bug as earlier, having to do with Leech Seed's AI on bestSkill trainers. Update your game to get rid of it. Dark gym was slightly nerfed in a recent patch, but still, she is definitely one of the stronger ones especially if you battle her early on. Absol's base stats are incredible compared to other species at that level range, but not so much later on. I understand that people are used to the amazing mainline Exp. All, but that is simply not an item I am going to put in PHB. Being under leveled should not be an issue with the amount of trainers there are + re-battleable gyms, VS Seeker, exp boosting items and areas...

not sure if it is intended but cyan island gym leader victoria has at difficulty 4 a cetitan that can use Iceberg Slam, but i cant teach that to my cetitan nor does he learn it by level up or breeding, also annihilape and the entire sprigatito line are missing info on what tm they can learn in the pokedex

I've downloaded and patched the latest version and I seem to be encountering a problem wtih the new DexNav where I can't browse through the encounter tables.
It's already automatically on focus mode looking for specific mons, and I've been trying all the buttons and multiple options from the menu you get when you press Enter, but there's no way for me to look at the next encounter table. It's always at the first one, which is Water most of the time. Used to be able to just hit the left/right buttons and browse through. I might be missing something, but trust me that I've tried all the buttons I could think of.

A small and not very significant bug in the very same DexNav is if I were to look at Shellos/Gastrodon in focus mode, it says its name is just "East Sea".
image.png

Anyway, please let me know how to be able to browse through the encounter tables again.
Thanks!

I really should have mentioned this somewhere, but you can browse the encounter list UI with Ctrl + Left/Right or Shift or V. I'll look through the form names today and add missing base species names.

Gen 9 mons were completely missing their move compatibility data until a few patches ago. Update and they'll be able to learn the regular moves they should. As for the million custom moves in PHB... I'm gonna have to put some time into that.

Was there a change in how Rarenoculars work in 2.10.12? Like... they just don't seem to work anymore. The new DexNav features are nice in theory, but I can't *un*select a Pokemon once it searches, only change my target. I can at least use the Rarenoculars feature from the DexNav to search for ??? new Pokemon, but even then, the Rarenoculars don't seem to work anymore. I'm running around and just encountering everything at their normal rate, whereas before I got new Pokemon in an encounter or three. Turning them off and on in the bag also doesn't help, so I'm beginning to wonder if it's been nerfed.

Edit: I am now encountering literally No Pokemon because I can't de-select a DexNav search. I was looking for a Medicham in the Unique Grass on Route 207, but I can't encounter it. Eventually I stopped encountering literally anything. Just running in grass for thousands of steps. Brought some Honey, but even using that won't trigger an encounter now. It says "There appears to be nothing here..." and fails. I tried going to a different encounter table, the nearby river, still can't encounter literally anything.

The reworked Rareoculars give an approximate +20% chance (e.g. 2% -> ~22%, not 2.4%) of encountering any species you select from the spawn list. The chance was originally +30%, but this was nerfed based on player feedback. The DexNav search cannot be cancelled because there's literally no reason to ever do that. If the searched mon is not in the encounter pool, you'll get spawns based on the base rates as you would without DexNav. I tested the grass on Route 207 and found a Medi on my 4th encounter. I've tried various things and can't seem to replicate your issue of no encounters. If Sweet Scent / Honey says there appears to be nothing here, it means either the grass patch you're on doesn't have encounters set up or that your encounters data file is missing for some reason. I suggest taking a look at Data/encounters file. If it has 133 KB size, everything should be fine in that regard. If it's 0 KB or missing entirely, that's the explanation for the issues you're experiencing. Then there are Cleanse Tag / Pure Incense and Stench / White Smoke / Quick Feet that can drastically reduce the number of encounters.

So after a lot of running around and trying different areas, I tried messing around with the Valiant Horn. After setting it to 4, which is the highest it will work for me atm, I finally started receiving encounters again and finally got a Medicham after 2 encounters.

I'm thinking it must've had something to do with me using the horn in another area or encounter, though it's an item I don't fully understand the effects of aside from calling stronger Pokemon. I'm not really sure what sort of interaction it was having that I stopped receiving encounters entirely.

I have to agree that this nerf is heavily noticeable... It really does feel like I'm just encountering random Pokemon that I've already caught instead of having boosted odds for those I haven't. If there were only 1 or 2 left in the table then it'd make sense to take numerous attempts, but now I'm going into a fresh encounter table where I've only caught 3 mons out of 12, and I keep seeing the same 3, even with the Rareoculars on.
Would you maybe consider reverting the changes? I really liked how it worked beforehand.

EDIT: I now understand how to properly use it alongside the DexNav. It does work that way, but it used to be more "passive" which is a better QoL for the player, rather than trying to look for something specific manually every time. Up to you if you want to revert it of course, and I truly do appreciate how you try to improve these features every time.

Valiant Horn ups the levels of wild encounters by the intensity you blow it with. The maximum intensity is 9. It doesn't do anything besides raise levels. Please report if you notice it having some unplanned effect on spawns!

The old Rareoculars had a serious design flaw in that one could abuse it to shiny hunt. Catch all species except the one you want to hunt for, then you'd be able to encounter it constantly regardless of how rare it is. This incentivized players to not catch Pokémon they want to shiny hunt later. I felt this was undesirable. The numbers on the current feature can be adjusted, but I am not considering reverting to the old system. Thank you for your feedback, though!

After a bit of experimenting, it seems that setting the Horn to 0 or 1 halts encounters entirely, even when using the DexNav to hunt. I think this must be what happened to me. I wanted to turn off the level raising effect for a bit, set it to as low it would let me, and then just... stopped encountering until I raised it back to 4.

Please can anyone tell me where route 148 is in the haido region, need to go there for a quest and i cant find it, i see 147 and 149 on the map but not 148
