Introduction
Inspired by Pokémon Scarlet/Violet and Uranium I had the desire to create an open world Pokémon game myself. A game where the players themselves decide how to take on their adventures. Gyms, story events, rival battles can be challenged in any order you want.
The first demo of the game has already been released, and we are now looking for new team members to help us bring everything to life at a faster pace.
Plot Summary
Fifteen years ago, a portal opened deep within Redstone Canyon, located in the historic Tamterra region.
Dangerous, alien-like creatures emerged from it, infecting innocent Pokémon with a virus that turned them incredibly vile and hostile.
Many skilled Trainers and scientists lost their lives fighting the mutated Pokémon while investigating the portal's origin.
One scientist even dared to enter the portal, unaware of what awaited him on the other side - it was your father…
He has not returned to this day, while your mother has devoted herself to rescuing not only him, but the entire region.
She founded an organization known as the Canyon Operation, dedicated to protecting Tamterra's citizens and Pokémon, as well as researching the mysterious virus.
Now, that summer holidays are over, you are finally allowed to leave Genesis City, the gigantic capital of the Tamterra region,
to travel the region in the name of the Redstone Academy with your very own Pokémon, alongside your closest friends.
Explore a region more or less struggling to adapt to the uncontrollable dangers threatening it - and uncover the origin behind the chaos!
Gameplay
The Tamterra region invites you to 13 biomes which consist of +40 zones, 15 towns and countless landmarks waiting to be explored.
Zones of the Tamterra region are divided by color, indicating their difficulty level, ranging from low- to high-level areas, so you can decide for yourself how difficult you want your adventure to be.
You can encounter Pokémon from all 9 generations on the over world, but beware - roaming virus Pokémon will battle you at any given chance.
After defeating all regular trainers on a zone, Ace Trainer will challenge you and reward you after a win.
You might even encounter fellow academy students who have a full team of six Pokémon and are eager to battle.
While trainers in each zone will always match that zones level they're in, every rival or gym battle will scale to your level, creating a fair and evenly matched challenge.
With the addition of HM Items, traveling through the region will be a breeze.
They are rarely required to progress and mostly serve as an obstacle for countless useful items.
Viralization
The new mechanic we are introducing plays a major role in both story and gameplay.
What is Viralization?
When the player receives a Reactor Ring after the fourth badge, they are able to give their Pokémon a Booster Spray to hold, so it can viralize in battle.
Pokémon gain a new look, type and ability!
New look: Pokémon look at you with blood-red eyes in a threatening re-coloring, typical characteristics of the virus.
New type: Pokémon gain an additional Virus-Type which resists moves of any other type. Dual-Type Pokémon lose of one their types in favor of the Virus-Type
New ability: Virus Pokémon gain the new ability Enragement which boosts their Atk., Sp. Atk. and Speed upon entering the battle.
Only one Pokémon can viralize per battle and a Viralization only lasts for one battle.
What is different?
Viralization is not bound to certain Pokémon. Every single final stage, or one stage Pokémon will be able to viralize.
Booster Sprays (the equivalent of Mega Stones) are one time use and have to be purchased so you won't run out, to ensure a responsible use in the wild.
The rather expensive Booster Sprays can also be purchased by trading in Mutated Fragments. They can be found all over the region in different forms.

How can you help?
Your task would involve recoloring original Pokémon sprites, provided by me, into the typical virus colors.
If you feel confident you can also add little features to make the virus Pokémon look even more threatening.
With around 170 Pokémon currently needing to be viralized, it is hard for us to keep up the work at a good pace.
If you share experience in spriting/pixel art, your help will be greatly appreciated!
