Hello. I have played some rom hacks of Pokémon such as Digimon Emerald Version, Yugioh Pokeduel, Super Mariomon, Pokémon Unbound and a couple of others. I have searched if anyone has made a mod for Final Fantasy characters. Well, with no luck, I decided to make one. This has been a project a year and a half in the making and I have made the game all on my own. I introduce to you, Final Fantasymon. I was going to call it just Fantasymon, but ¾ of the way through my playthrough, I decided to change it to the full title. The mon are still called Fantasymon though.
The game uses Final Fantasy characters instead of Pokémon. The starters to choose from are Lightning, Cloud and Tidus. I use Pokemon Essentials on RPG Maker and most of the sprites are from Spriters Resource mostly Brave Exvius and Record Keeper.
Moves are up to Gen 9 with the Town Map using Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver. Johto is now the Ivalice Region and Kanto is now the Gaia region with a total of 16 gyms, 8 in each region. All towns and dungeons are named after various places throughout the Final Fantasy franchise with gym leaders named after NPCs with that game, i.e., Bugenhagen is the gym leader of the Midgar City gym.
The game currently has over 580 Fantasymon which range from FF1 to FF16 and spinoffs like tactics and Agiato/Type-0. All summons, espers, eidolons are in the game, some monsters and super bosses are legendary equivalents. I am planning on future updates with more Fantasymon and possibly a third region. Team Rocket is Team Omega and it is the players job to stop them from acquiring the weapons. As I have made the game, I show the gameplay of what I have made, I fix the errors, crashes that happen etc. as I go along or fix them. The game is complete now.
