In Development Pokemon Laminite

Back from the old Relic Castle Forums I introduce Pokemon Laminite!
Explore the new region known as Zyrox, Battle new Pokemon, meet rivals across the way and save the world from the evil organization and the Legendary Pokemon that lived 3000 years ago.
You start off as a 15 year old boy/girl beginning his/her Pokemon journey as a Pokemon trainer with your Rival Jack who has been friends since you were little. You set out to become the strongest trainer. But there is a major obstacle in the way, A new organization has started in the region. Team Prism was responsible for many crimes such as theft and illegal distribution of Pokemon through selling. They have kidnapped Jacks mother who was an explorer who knows about the Legendary Pokemon and the war of Zyrox. You the character needs to stop them from capturing the Legendary Pokemon to use for their evil deeds and to rule all of Zyrox and lead it to destruction.

Pokemon Essentials itself is Made by Maruno who made the whole thing with some help from
Poccil and Flameguru.Without this there woudn't be any fangames being made today.

(The project is cancelled.... I will work on my art skills from now on... I will not leave this forum though. )

Uhh, not trying to be mean, but the fakemon look too, again, just trying to be honest, don't get mad, too edgy and Digimon-esque. It's not like I instinctively hate fakemon, in fact I loved Ethereal gates for it. If this wasn't true, say the fakemon are unrepresentative of the average design sense, put forth other examples.
Also, just a few other points of criticisms, the ridiculous anime main character hairstyle when other people have normal hair.

And the hair's lighting's off.

And this game is too edgy for the tiles it uses and the lack of self-awareness of itself being edgy.

Well it wasn't meant to be edgy.. and the Fakemon were not supposed to look like Digimon.. But I would care less... It's the first time doing this kinda thing so I wouldn't expect nothing less than this.

What you could do, and this would undoubtedly take a lot more work, is redo all of the graphics (tilesets, sprites, what have you) in your own style, that way things look consistent. It'd be tasking for sure, but would give people a game with a different look than normal. It's worth the consideration, I'd think.

And I'm not really getting any edgy vibes from this game. I don't see anything that screams 'edgy'.

Slow and steady wins the race, my dude. Whether or not you decide to use that suggestion, just keep on keepin' on and you'll do just fine.

I think I'm going to focus on art rather than developing a fangame because to be honest I'm more of an artist than a game developer.

I mean, you do what you gotta do. But I would encourage you to not to leave it as a 'fading memory' but instead leave it as someone who came, who tried, and who made something. I'd encourage you to at least put something out before leaving. Maybe what progress you had, maybe everything for others to use. Mainly just something that you can look back on and say "I made that".
