Hello, everyone!

I’ve been working on a Chain Fishing Script
and wanted to gauge interest before
releasing it as a resource.

What the Script Does?

This script introduces a shiny hunting mechanic for fishing, inspired by the chain fishing feature from Pokémon xy/oras. Here’s how it works:

• Chain System:

• Every time you successfully hook a Pokémon, your chain increases.

• Higher chains improve your odds of encountering a shiny Pokémon.

• Custom Shiny Rates:

• You can configure the shiny rates to improve at specific chain thresholds (e.g., Chain > 40 = 1 in 100 chance).

• Custom Animations:

• Unique shiny exclamation bubble will appear right before you encounter a pokemon during your chain, if that pokemon is shiny.

• Standard exclamation animations for regular Pokémon.

• While the current version of my script only supports the Old Rod, the final release would work for all rods (Old Rod, Good Rod, and Super Rod).

Why Ask?

I haven’t seen a script like this for the latest Pokémon Essentials, and I thought it might be a fun mechanic for those adding shiny hunting features to their games. Before finalizing and releasing it, I’d like to know:

• Is this something the community would find useful?

• Do you think a chain fishing system would add value to your game?

• Any additional features you’d want to see included?

If enough people are interested, I’ll polish the script and release it as a resource for everyone to use.

Let me know your thoughts!
