Made in Pokemon Essentials v21.1
Project Description:
I have been wanting to make a unique linear pokemon game experience. You don't catch pokemon, you will slowly gain new party members throughout the adventure and each party member will unstorable/unreleasable until the post game, so each choice will be super impactful. All Towns, Cities and Dungeons will be small sprites on the overworld and are interacted through menus and dialogue.
Story/Plot:
MC is chased out of her original region of renfall by the local villagers due to her ability to talk to pokemon and her "connection" to the disaster that looms over renfall from the vision of an Oracle. Now she has to find a magical tree called The Great Moon Tree for a way to stop the impending disaster.
Features:
- Move Relearner from the party menu
- EV Re-allocator
- Overworld is inspired by older games like FF
- Party members are added throughout the story and are permanent until post game
- Rebalanced moves and abilities for slower battles
- (Optional) Challenge Modes
- Improved AI
- Animated pokemon sprites in battle
- (Optional) Money gain from wild pokemon and trainers alike
- (Optional) Difficulty modes
- Pokemon will have a chance (based on their happiness) to disobey commands during battle
- Wild pokemon and trainers scale up to overleveled trainers
- Battle Speed up with a button press
Positions (Volunteer, do not expect to be paid!):
Spriters/Artists: Trainer sprites, Pokemon, items, battle backgrounds, battle UI, portraits, map tilesets and region map.
(I mainly need Tilesets, Battle UI and Battle backgrounds because right now I'm using the vanilla assets.)
Programmer: battle features, new features.
(I'm interested in implementing a Defend option to battles.)
