Welcome to the Muzon Region!
Thank you for checking out the thread! We are currently recruiting members for our dev team, once again. We have come back from a hiatus just in time for Eevee Expo!
Pokemon Ageless
Pokemon Ageless and the Muzon region are based in the Tohoku region of Japan, one of the few regions of Japan not recreated yet in Pokemon. This fangame's Fakemon are exclusively regional forms, convergent variants, new evolutions/prevos, and Mega Evolutions. The Regional Dex will include a vast variety of returning Pokemon too. The game is styled after the Generation 4 games (DP/HGSS/Pt), and outside of the characters' OWs, the Generation 5 games (BW/B2W2).
THIS GAME USES POKEMON ESSENTIALS V21.1, THROUGH RPG MAKER XP.
Pokemon & Fakemon
In the Muzon Region, as said above in the previous section, is populated by returning Pokemon & new regional forms/convergent variants/evolutions/prevos, and takes advantage of Mega Evolution. At the time of writing this (August 3rd 2024), there are 49 new Fakemon & 128 returning Pokemon, totalling for 177 entries currently in the Regional dex. The dex is still in an early stage though, so it is very much in progress and will be expanded.
There wont be alot of new moves & abilities, but they will still be added. There are currently 11 new moves & 4 new abilities.
Team Umbra & Team Seraphs
In the Muzon region, there is a looming evil: Team Umbra! Team Umbra's goal is immortality. They plan to obtain immortality through the legendary Ho-Oh, but that doesnt work well in their favor so they have to take extreme measures. Their work and research have led to an extreme increase in the population of tainted species known as Corrupted forms. They have infected their test subjects with the natural chemicals found within the region's Flabebe population, causing the affected Pokemon to gain the Dark-type and become feral.
Team Seraphs on the other hand, was formed to stop Team Umbra's destruction of the region and prevent the spread of Corrupted forms. You will have to team up with them through thick & thin to overwhelm Team Umbra.
The Story of Pokemon Ageless
Our main protagonists, Carter and Grace, are twin siblings coming from the rich Salone family. They have just turned 16, instead of a car for sweet 16 birthday gift, kids in this region usually get their first Pokemon. Most kids will get a cheap Pokemon such as Patrat or Rookidee, but wealthy families like yours get more expensive Pokemon from the region's Professor Agerwood.
While travelling through the Muzon Region, your goal will be to collect the 8 gym badges from the gyms of the region. You'll run into Team Umbra and start to foil their goal & missions. Your Rival Micah and your former Champion friend Raisen will help you to put an end to Team Umbra's century long organization.
Unlike most regions, the Muzon Region uses a Tournament style league to filter out unworthy opponents. After someone wins the tournament, they will be able to move on to the true Pokemon League featuring the Elite Four & Champion.
Characters
Their sprites havent been created yet, but:
Carter, the newest son of the Salone family and the twin of Grace.
Grace, a daughter of the Salone Family and the twin of Carter.
(Carter & Grace are the protagonist choices, while the other becomes your sibling and a rival.)
Micah, the rival to Carter & Grace. He lives in the next town over, and causes your journey to start off rough. He got his starter from Professor Agerwood before you, so he has a head start.
Raisen, is a friend you meet along your journey. He is actually the former champion of the Hoenn region before that Steven Stone defeated him.
Professor Agerwood, is the regional Professor of the Muzon region. She hosts a web series named "Beyond the Pokedex" where she covers really anything related to Pokemon, from trainer basics to her specialty of Pokemon Ecology. She gets collabs with other Professor and famous figures pretty often, such as the Global Professor Silverwood.

Features
- A Darker story compared to the official mainline Pokemon Games
- 4 Difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard, Extreme
- Quests: There are 2 categories of quests to be found in this game; Story Quests & Side Quests. Story Quests will be required to be completed to finish the game, and give minimal to no rewards upon completion. Side Quests on the otherhand are not required but can reward you with plenty of good items, pokemon, and storylines.

Trainer Spriters are needed the most, as neither I or anyone else on our current team can make them. We have run into controversy due to this, so they are needed ASAP.
Trainer Spriters will be tasked with making the Trainer & Back sprites of all characters in this game.
Trainer Sprites should be in Gen 4-5 style. Gen 3 style will not work for this project.

Mappers will be tasked with making the maps for the Muzon Region & designing locations such as Cities, Towns, Routes, and Interiors.
You should have experience using RPG Maker XP's Map builder

Overworld Spriters will be tasked with making Pokemon Overworld sprites, and trainer overworld sprites. (Please specify Pokemon or Trainer if u can only do 1 of the 2 parts)
Overworld sprites should be in Gen 4 style.

Concept Artists will be tasked with designing or finalizing the Pokemon or Character designs.
----- [ Tileset Artists ] -----
Tileset artists will be tasked with creating custom tiles for this project.
Tilesets should be in Gen 4 style. Look at the existing maps for an example of the style.

Composers will be tasked with creating Music for the game, whether it be locations or battles, or just background music for storyline.

Writers will be tasked with writing the story & world of the game.

Pokemon Spriters will be tasked with creating the sprites for Fakemon.
Pokemon Sprites should be in Gen 4-5 style,

Biologists will be tasked with creating Fakemon for the game. Whether it be Regional Forms, Convergent variants, Corrupted Forms, Mega Evolutions, Evolutions, or Pre-Evolutions.

Move & Ability Animators will be tasked with designing the animations for any new moves & abilities.
----- [ Teambuilders ] -----
Teambuilders will be tasked with creating Trainer teams, along with their movesets, abilities, and items.
