Map remade viridian forest

So im making a remaster (kinda? not really, i just wanna remake it in my own style and with new battles for gyms and some trainers) for Fire Red and this is Viridian Forest! I wanted to know what you guys think (this is my first fangame and i started yesterday LOL so please even if its too crazy be nice TwT)

I put the flowers in the layer above the grass so it looks like grass with flowers, question my methods not my results

I have tried and it sadly doesnt work :(
Idk if there are more flower types but I kinda dont wanna use custom tilesets and with the default one the grass is very difficult to notice below the flowers

Honestly I think the placement of the tall grass and flowers feels too cluttered, especially together with the cut trees.
