Pokémon Project Alastria (final name still be decided) is a game made with Pokémon Essentials v20.1!

We are currently a small development team that is working in our free time, since this is a passion project.

The game is made with gen 4 graphics, with Pokémon from gens 1-9 and new fakemon too. This doesn't mean all Pokémon will be obtainable in game but the plan is to add over 100+ fakemon.
We want a more mature and complex storyline but a good story at the front and an amazing postgame too. The story takes place in a new region called Alastria! A mixture of Alaska and Australia (I know it makes no sense but the Pokémon world is way different than ours so its a creative choice.
The goal follows the classic scheme of the Pokémon games: beat the 8 gyms of the region, stop the two evil teams from taking over the region/world and defeat the champion of the league!

The story (so far)​

You begin your journey in the Alastria Region! Your father is the current champion of another region, he visits from time to time, your mother is a famous writer. You grew up in the peaceful town of Florbany with your two rivals who are also your best friends. The hot head and rash Melina and the shy and timid Charlie. The Region has two Professors! Professor Hemlock a brilliant young mind who studies the region's past. Then there's his wife Professor Cedar, she studies the region's ecosystem. Since you are the child of a champion, you have feel like you have a lot on your shoulders to try and live up to the legacy your father and mother set. But there's trouble brewing in the shadows.... The evil teams are planning to harness the power of the legendary trio to take over the Alastria Region. (no name yet), its up to you to stop them and restore balance to the region. Do you have what it takes?!

We also plan on doing having a big and expansive postgame for replay value. (will say this now we plan to add a big battle frontier like area in the post game)

Recruitment​

What we are currently looking for the following:

• Artists: To create some artwork for the game! This includes title screen, drawings of new mons. More concept artists are always welcomed to help the region feel full of life.
• Spriters: To create sprites for Pokémon and trainers. We're super in need of spriters to help create the mons for the region.
• Composers: We really want to create an original OST for this project with all brand new tracks that hit slap like gen 4/5 music does.
• Programmers: If you are good with using Pokémon Essentials code since we plan to implement a bunch of new features.
• Storywriters: The more writers the better! Let them creative juices flow!
• Mappers: We're looking for people who are experienced with mapping in RPG Maker XP
