In pokemon games, there are two main gameplay spheres. The battle scenes, and the overworld. Gameplay in battles is simple. Attack. Gameplay in the overworld is more varied, however, allowing you to explore, interact and puzzle your way through a region. The part I want to focus on is that puzzle part, and especially the lack of interaction puzzles and battles seem to have in pokemon games.
Rarely does it seem to happen that there are puzzles designed in such a way that they effect the gameplay of battles. They're segregated elements. How do you guys envision a good amalgamation of those elements?
