Hello! I am the game designer behind the Pokémon Minimal. Pokémon Minimal is a rouge-like Pokémon game with a huge focus on the battle system. This game has very little fluff and is straight to the point. Your Pokémon are tools that are not meant to be cherished.

Now if that has you interested I am looking to recruit play testers. I have been building this game by myself for over 2 years now. I have a biased set of eyes when it comes to my game. I would like other people to look at it and help me make it better before I release it and call it complete.

This game uses Pokémon Essentials v19.1 because I started a long time ago and I’m not about to upgrade.

Unique Features:
There is a gym for each of the 18 types and you can fight them in any order.
You only fight 8 gyms per adventure.
This means there are 144 hand crafted gym fights to experience.

There are ~6000 different trainers to fight in the game.
There are currently 85 “Passive Items” that you can acquire randomly within adventures/

There are 13 buildings that need repairing and doing so gives you benefits in adventure.
Each building has 4 tiers of upgradability!

All of the Pokèmon have been completely rebalanced by a genius AI that I made.
This makes every single Pokèmon oddly useful.
All evolution have been Set to specific levels.
These Levels break the Pokémon into tiers of power which are as follows

Tier 1: 1st form three stage Pokémon(ex: Bulbasaur) these Pokémon evolve at level 30.
Tier 2: 1st form two stage Pokémon(ex: Bonsly) these Pokémon evolve at level 41.
Tier 3: 2nd form three stage Pokémon(ex: Ivysaur) these Pokémon evolve at level 55.
Tier 4: 2nd form two stage Pokémon(ex: Sudowoodo).
Tier 5: 3nd form three stage Pokémon(ex: Venusaur).
Tier 6: Pokemon that don’t evolve (ex: Dunsparce) all Pokémonin tier 6 are legendary Pokémon.

There have been minor move rebalances to make the AI more threatening.
There is scaling difficulty that can be changed between runs.
This game has had massive quality of life (QOL) changes that make each adventure fast paced.

Wild encounters are generated on the fly.
The game takes into account what Pokèmon you own and won't show you them or any from that family tree again.
The game also takes into consideration what gym you are going to and favors giving you Pokemon that have a type advantage against that gym.
This way most of the time you will have the tools you need to take on the gym!

QOL Examples:
Rare candies instantly get you to the Level cap so you don’t have to mash through text.
You still learn all moves and evolve like normal along the way.
You have more rare candies then you could possibly need.
You have more Pokèballs then you could possibly need.
A speedup function (“Q” key by default).
In battle speed display, no more guessing if you out-speed.
Recolored the Stat Nature Display: Green good Red bad
Reduced clutter in Summary screen in general.

Why Play Test:
You will get early access to a cool Pokèmon rouge-like fan game that is coming out soon.
You will have the opportunity to be a member of the E4.
You will of course be added to the credits.
You will help me out <3.
