Pokemon Exspiravit
Looking to recruit:
Any job is welcome. However I am in need of spriters more then anything else.
As for the job itself. While there are a few Pokemon that will be required to be in the game, Such as the starters. It is mostly free reign. I and probably others will be willing to give ideas if needed. But as long as it fits the Pokemon style any type of mon you wish to make is allowed.
I wish to be transparent, This is not a paid position. I do not have money to spend on this. It is merely a job for people passionate about Pokemon.

Project description:
This is a fan game that is made by the community. Now what do I mean by that? I mean everyone who is a fan of Pokemon no matter how long they have been in the fandom is welcome to contribute anything possible. Ideas,Sprites,Music,Publicity,Feedback. Moral support even. Any form of help is appreciated and every piece of feedback will be considered.
My hope is by having the fans of both Pokemon and the game play such a major role in the development it will be something every Pokemon fan will be able to enjoy
Plot outline:
The plot is not very finished yet. So I shall post what has been decided
You grew up in a rather rural area on the outskirts of a nearby town. While the town is very populated you rarely ever go there. Rather you spend most of your life on the research compound outside of town with your father who is the professor of the region, Your mom, And your older sister.
You've spent your entire life around Pokemon but never got one yourself as all the Pokemon at the lab were owned by other trainers, You helped your dad in his countless research endeavors, And you helped him take care of the Pokemon in the compound too. Due to this you've grew a life long bound with Pokemon, And taking care of them.
On your tenth birthday your father returned home from a month long expedition into the most isolated parts of the region, The reason he went out is quite simple. He caught three of the rarest Pokemon in the region for your choice of starter as a birthday gift. Being the professor he is legally able to give out Pokemon, Now it's important to note these three Pokemon are not the starter Pokemon of the region.
However some local thief knew about the rare Pokemon. But not what they we're. So they assumed they were some high value legendary Pokemon and steal them. You then run after them and go into their hideout. You try to sneak around but they find you and send out their Pokemon. In a panic you grab one of the Pokeballs and throw it out before battling the two and returning with three pokemon
After you return your sister walks in, Your father then sends out the three Pokemon and notices the one you chose seems to have gotten a liking to you, So your father suggests you take it as your Pokemon as you follow his advice and take it. Your sister then proposes you battle her to get adjusted to your new Pokemon even further and thus you two fight. After your fight your father expresses a slight disappointed as your sisters progress as she got her starter several years before you, And yet hers is only a few levels higher. So he proposes the idea of your sister embarking on a Pokemon journey around the region at the same time as you. She really likes the idea and eagerly runs off cementing herself as your main rival. Your father gives you the stuff you get at the beginning of most Pokemon games before sending you on your way.
Along your journey you collect gym badges, And discover an evil team called team [Insert cool name, It is not decided what the name is yet.]. They are run by the ex champion of the region. A long time ago someone challenged him to a battle for the championship after defeated the gym leaders and elite four. The champion easily swept his first five Pokemon. But on the sixth he brought out a revive and started revive spamming until every move on the gym leaders team was used up. Because of this cheap victory the champion now believes the region is filled with corrupt people, And that they need to restart the region.
Going by lore established in certain spin off sources. When too many legendary Pokemon gather in the same place at the same time it will bring about a devastating event that if not stopped in enough time can bring about the end of the world. So it became the champions goal to collect legendary Pokemon from across the region and force them all into one place to bring about this apocalypse
Unique features:
This will be a mostly basic Pokemon experience. As such there is no real gimmick of the region. However I plan on adding several new features not related to battles. As well as expanding upon certain features already in the games. Those are not technically unique however as they are features in official games. Expanded or not.
Just as a small sample list of features planned .
-Railroad system that connects almost every town, For easy back tracking.
-Trade halls in most major cities. You can do several npc trades in these halls for rare Pokemon
-Black markets where you can buy and sell Pokemon.
Genetically modified Pokemon will sometimes be available to buy for a large price.
-Dungeons
Along your journey you will sometimes find paths that deviate from the main. These will act as dungeons of sorts. These dungeons will have pokemon that are stronger then the usual Pokemon you will find in the wild. If you can successfully complete a dungeon you will gain a chance to catch a rare Pokemon. Be it a Pokemon that learns an illegal move. A Pokemon with an illegal ability. Or just a hard to find Pokemon in general
Rare items will also be available to find in dungeons.
Dungeons are challenging yet very rewarding side quests
-And this last one might be a little too ambitious but:
Randomized gyms, Basically every gyms team would be chosen from a pool of random Pokemon. Making it so you have to strategize for every possible outcome and not just one set team. It would allow for a lot more replayability also. [idk if this is even possible in rpg maker]
Progress/Screenshots:
Not much progress has been made on the game yet as I wish to have at least 1/4th of the total dex finished before I start with a majority of the game. 1/2th being preferable but rather unrealistic. It is hard to balance a game when the pokedex isn't even close to being finished after all.
However I can provide a few mons I have made for the dex. Prime examples of why I need more spriters. I also have a few maps.
