In Pokémon Essentials games or RPGMaker games in general, which one do you tend to lean towards?

If we're talking 2D games, then I'm a huge sucker for the shorter Gen 3 style of sprites. I find them easier to edit as well.

If by tall sprites you mean something like BW, then I'd say the chibi are better, I'm not much of a fan at all of BW overworld sprites

if where talking 2d then chibi is the best. THe reason why i think many poeple have a problem with the gen 4 remake chibi is that theyre in 3d. And previous titles that have 3d graphics like XY or Sun Moon all have character 3d model proportionly. Gen 4 chibi sprite is probably the better ones between all the chibi sprite in pokemon. Just enough to have reconizeable details while still able to keep the art style. Gen 5 sprite always look a bit lanky for me
