- BACKSTORY -​

" More than a 1000 years ago, a royal family ruled the ancient Aluma region. The ruling king wished to move his lands and conquer an unoccupied land across the sea of Hiasu. After getting his hands on the territory, the king established his new empire, found the woman of his dreams that gave birth to a child. Life was nothing but prosperity until after 20 years, when the princely child, out of greed for power, wanted to overthrow his father's regime to gain full power.
The prince convinced part of the people to join his cause by telling lies against his father to the peasants and by promising power to the nobility. Only the people loyal to the king were still at his side, the only ones that didn't want to believe the rumors about him. A civil war broke and chaos ensued. All the mess caused by this conflict gave the time and space for the prince to kill the king with his own hands. The toll was heavy and many humans and pokemons fell in battle. Those who did not wish to submit to the prince's new empire were exiled to the king's former lands across the sea.
Over time, life in these two regions of the world diverged. Aluma, became a land of hope, mutual aid and freedom while the other became a land of opulence, distrust and order. The people now remember the dead and pay tribute to them every year during the Bleuet Festival. "​
