Short-term Wishes From Another World

Planned Features:​

• Regional Evolutions - New baby forms and evolutions for existing Pokémon that are extinct in the modern-day Pokémon world will be found throughout the Velha region!​
• Expansive Postgame - Explore the deeper secrets of the Velha region through the game's expansive postgame​
• A Story-Based Experience - Unlike mainline Pokémon games, "WFAW" will be a heavily story-driven adventure with many events to keep the player intrigued; this style of game will be in a similar style to franchises like Mother/Earthbound and Undertale/Deltarune​
• Shrine Challenges - Instead of gyms, the player will have to tackle a series of "Shrine Challenges" that correspond to one of the game's big-name legendary Pokémon. These Pokémon will set the player up with a specific series of challenges that are associated with said legendary in some way. Note: These challenges will be story-tied​
• Music - "Wishes From Another World" will have a fully custom OST featuring the nostalgic sounds from the Generation 3 FireRed/LeafGreen and Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald Soundfonts​

Positions Needed:​

• Spriters - We aim to have a few regional forms made for this project, but most of the time spriting will go into characters/trainers and UI. There won't be many sprites that need to be made so even if you can only work on sprites for a short period of time, you should consider joining! (RSE/FRLG Art Style)​
• Composers - While this game may be a smaller/shorter project, having a custom OST would help us stand out compared to other projects! If you can compose in a mostly Gen 3 (FRLG/RSE) style, then consider applying to be a composer for WFAW!​
• Concept Artists - Design characters and new Pokemon forms (Evolutions/Baby forms only) for promotional use and for our spriters to use when making the respective sprites​

Story Summary:
You are a part of the Paz-Liberdade Settlement, one of the many settlements across the many islands of the Scandinavian-Inspired region of Velha. The settlement, led by Settlement Leader/Organizer Aspen, is a collection of many small divisions. One of those divisions is the Ranger Division, which is tasked with discovering and researching Pokemon across the region and you, the player, are designated to. Once designated to be a Pokemon Ranger, you, the player, will be tasked with catching, researching, and making the first documented information about these creatures. Along the way, the player will have confrontations with opposing settlements, some of which will be welcoming, while others, not so much. One of these settlements by the name of Vencer is out to conquer the entire Velha region and expand until they can no longer do so. You, the player, will then be set off on a sidequest of your own: To stop Vencer from taking over the region and keep peace and freedom flowing throughout Velha.

Additional Information:
This project is quite early in development and is a side project to my main and overarching project, Pokemon Tabula Rasa. Being a "side-project", this game will be short and sweet to develop, hopefully having a playable version in the upcoming months (depending on the number of team members).
