Project Title: Pokémon Starter Squad Adventures (PSSA).
About my game:
Created using RPG Maker XP and Pokémon Essentials v19.1.
This is my first ever game so any critiques are welcomed.
The storyline will be similar to/inspired by Shippidge's popular series called 'Starter Squad' but in a re-imagined way. (with permission)
The protagonist of the game is Totodile, teaming up with a Cyndaquil and Chikorita.
It has a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon style feel to it.
Game begins in the professor of the regions lab where a child is choosing his first Pokémon for his journey to complete the Pokedex.
Therefore both humans and Pokémon will live alongside each other in this game and you'll encounter both in the story.
Plot short-summary:
The game opens at the start of a kid's journey as a Pokémon trainer, however unlike most Pokémon games you are not playing as this kid, no. The main characters of this game are the three starter Pokémon the kid chooses from. Chikorita Totodile or Cyndaquil, whichever will it be? Totodile sure seemed quite confident he was going to be chosen. The kid looked at Chikorita and begun his hard decision, Totodile became quite annoyed at even considering Chikorita as a potential option. The kid then walked straight past Totodile to consider choosing Cyndaquil. At that point Totodile was fuming. This did not last too long thankfully as the child then moved on to see Totodile, who has a sigh of relief. The confidence was real, finally Totodile could begin his journey to evolve, to become stronger, to be the very best like no one ever was. Things were looking up, time to show the world just how much potential- oh the kid chose Chikorita. "Wait seriously? After all that suspense and build up, you’re just going to go back and choose Chikorita??" Totodile was not sad at this decision, it did make him slightly disappointed though, but more importantly burning with rage. To find out more wait, you must play the game!
