Hectane Story​

In a small town called Dareek, an ex-Champion resides with his child. Things being tough for him and his child, ever since his wife decided to take leave without notice, he makes a decision. With help from his childhood friend, the Professor Fir, he decides to set his child up with a Pokémon to keep them happy. This child is the protagonist, and has been dreaming of taking on the league like their Dad and becoming champion. With their friends having the same goal, they set out on a journey across the region. Taking on the 10 Gym Leaders of the region. At the border to every sub-region; of which there are four, there lies at least one strong Pokémon. These are titled Grand Pokémon and are Pokémon that reached their power far earlier than a normal Pokémon. With this seeming simple to do, you set off care-free.

However, an organized team shows their heads and starts messing with you and your friends. Through meeting their leader, Spectre, you understand their goal, which is to take down Professor Fir's organization, Pokémon Research Area. Unfortunately, how they go about doing this is severely affecting your league challenge, so you find yourself entangled with their scheme. Using Rotom, they plan to shut down the PRA Network and hopefully summon legendaries from across the world, to spread chaos. Apparently, the leader is related to several team members and someone the protagonist has known for quite some time.

With a tough challenge awaiting you and a team which seemingly wants to stop abusive research, but does so poorly; this may be a journey the protagonist never expected. Will you defeat the league? Who is wrong? Pokémon Research Area? Or Spectre? All these mysteries will be answered throughout your journey.

- A brand new region, with 335 Pokémon from Generations 5 and below!
- Eight Gyms all specializing in one typing. All have an important role, whether it be a side story or the main story.
- Familiar starters with new forms; Venusaur, Typhlosion and Empoleon
- [Unconfirmed] A post-game story revolving around the aftermath of a machine, that brought legendaries from around the universe to Hectane.
- Challenge Mode for a tougher experience, with higher level trainers and powerful move-sets.

Any help would be much appreciated, as this project isn't easy to complete solo and it would be nice to bounce ideas off other people! Feedback is also appreciated![/SIZE][/CENTER]

NOTE: Unless anyone is willing to provide resources (that are more appropriate for a Gen 5 art-style) for Generations 6 and 7 Pokémon, there will not be any Pokémon from those Generation. I have no plans to insert them in on my own accord.
Also this is in very early Alpha, all screenshots are not representative of the final game.

I wish you the best of luck in your project, but I'm struggling to understand how this is "gen 5 in a new light" when nothing that you've stated seems to have anything to do with Generation 5 other than that generation being the last one you included pokemon from. I mean, new evolutions, starters that are randomized from other gens, sprites from gen 3, and completely different story, none of this says anything about being a different look at generation 5, and I don't quite understand why you put it in your title, so maybe you can help elaborate on that?

Fair enough, I rather meant it to be that this game was not going contain any Generation 6 and above Pokemon or story continuity.
It was bad wording as I have found, so I'll remove that tagline and just keep the raw name.
