INTRODUCTION:

Pokémon Violet Crystal is the sequel to Pokémon Violet Version, both projects born from the idea of dedicating a series of games to the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo. Everyone knows Mewtwo as a Pokémon created by humans through a genetic mutation of Mew's DNA, but in Pokémon Violet Version and Violet Crystal the reality is different: Mew has never been cloned, therefore Mewtwo does not exist, however there is still a presence of a Mewtwo that apparently came from another universe via dimensional portals. Furthermore, this Mewtwo does not seem to be very friendly and is endowed with special powers, therefore it poses a threat to both Pokémon and people.

STORY:

Pokémon Violet Crystal takes inspiration from Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. It all begins in a small village of Johto called New Bark Town where a scientist known as Elm decides to give a Pokémon to the son of his neighbor: Ethan (12 years old). Once he has chosen his first companion and received the Pokédex, Elm asks Ethan to go and take a message to a man named Mr. Fuji. Ethan heads to Mr. Fuji's house on Route 30 where he will meet a boy named Chase who will advise him to join the new Johto Pokémon League. Ethan decides to participate and returns home to notify his mother. He will then begin his journey to obtain the 8 Badges of the region and become the Champion; Ethan will meet several Pokémon and trainers, make valuable acquaintances and find himself having to stop Team Rocket, a criminal organization with shady purposes that wants to revitalize a Pokémon through a soul enclosed in a crystal.

MAIN CHARACTERS:

Ethan/Lyra: Protagonist, starts his/her journey from New Bark Town with a Pokémon given by Professor Elm to become Johto's first Champion.

Silver: Rival, a very private boy, it seems that his goal is to become the greatest Pokémon Trainer in the world. It also seems to have similarities with Team Rocket.

Eugenius: Researcher, passionate studious of the legend of Ecruteak City's crystals.

Chase: Ex-Kanto's champion, he came to Johto to find and stop a very powerful Pokémon and to help a group of individuals known as QF get "home".

Mr.Fuji: Lavender Town's old man, he travels with Chase in search of new mysteries to unravel, he too wants to help the QF.

Mike: Mysterious character, it seems that he came from a place named UM. He is disguised as Lance and appears to have an important role in the QF.

Fil: Master Trainer, a Mike's friend, it seems that he too came from a far place. He is a part of the QF and he is disguised to hide his real identity.
