In PScreen_Party, right below line 1128, paste this:
commands[cmdRename = commands.length] = _INTL("Rename")

The section should look like this:
commands[cmdSwitch = commands.length] = _INTL("Switch") if @party.length>1
if !pkmn.egg?
if pkmn.mail...

Awesome idea, I'll definitely be using this! Heads up though, the cursor renaming isn't working, (at least for me) only the keyboard renaming is.

This is such a convenient addition and there is literally no point of not adding this. 7.8 out of 10 too much water.
 
I'm using v18.1, and the option simply won't show up in the menu.
Hm, I just tried implementing it on a default kit, and it still went through. Check this section of your code- are you missing commands[cmdRename = commands.length] = _INTL("Rename")?

It looks like you implemented this script as well, right? For future reference, you should let people know if you've made any changes to the script when asking about a bug, because some scripts might cause problems when used together that wouldn't happen when applying it to a default kit.

That said, though, I tried implementing both, and it's still working fine for me.

I've even used text-compare to see what differences there are between your script and mine, but they're identical.

Can you send a screencap of what it looks like when you select a Pokemon? I really don't know what would be making the option disappear.
 
Well, I thought it might have been something related to the fact that there's only one Pokemon in your party, but I tried that and it still works fine.

Try just replacing everything in PScreen_Party with this:
