I think it's great to being able to face the gyms in any order, and tho making a 8 teams for each can take some time, it's not that hard For the last point, doesn't the nurse joys set a healing point in every pokecenter? You could autorun it when the player start the game, so it can be defined...

It's a short and simple game for the game jam, it has 1-2 hours of gameplay There's no mechanics like triple triad, daycare and other stuff

All of the starters will be avaliable in the DLC, it was impossible to make all of them in a game jam limit of 40 days

You need the fire, grass and water and one Season core, the first being the spring one You can't capture pokémon You get the upgrade by seeing, not catching

get the flower core, then the fire, water and grass core, then go back to the lab to that machine from the beginning

Awnsered here, plus the spring core is the first you get a little after the spring lodge, then you can get the autumn with rock smash and summer with surf
