What way did you download the game? I think you need the game files not the launcher.exe to play. You can get the files for each update here: https://gitlab.com/PokemonDark/Dark/-/releases

JoiPlay now works btw, just download their latest version from patreon!

Not at the moment, typically JoiPlay can be used on Android but it's not working with the version of Pokémon Essentials I'm using. Hopefully soon

Glad you are enjoying it! I have not heard reports on this error. Where are the game files stored on your computer, and are you the administrative user on your PC? Also it could be you have some of the game files open on your computer or your antivirus is causing issues as well.
