How to make a Simple Town Map

Have you ever wanted to make a simple map that stands out?
You picked the right tutorial!

First of all, this tutorial won't give too much information about maps, instead, this guide will show step by step what you need to add to your map to make it stand out. Lets begin!

Step 1
Start off by making a new map in a fresh version of essentials. The dimensions of the map should preferably be about 40 x 40. Note that when naming the town, don't take too long - give it a simple name.

Step 2
This is very basic, just smudge the grass around.

Step 3
Towns have houses don't they? Oh what about trees? Try your best to make the trees as inorganic/random as you can - for example, don't keep them all in straight lines. Also remember not to use too many different types of houses in your town, but it's always your choice what you keep.
It should look something like this by now.

It looks pretty bad, doesn't it?

Step 4
Add more detail.
The most common reason to a map looking bad is because it doesn't have much detail.
The most simple details are flowers, gates, signs or even dirt. lets add them in!

Wowee! This map deserves to win an Iron Mapper!!!

Step 5
Polish, Polish, Polish
Polish the map as much as possible. I think you know what that means

And that's it! You're done!
