What's this?
See screenshots. owo
While this is pretty plug and play, please have some patience and try to understand the instructions in this post and in the script itself to use it to it's full potential.

O.K. What do I do?
Import this Pastebin Link into a new script section. Use with the text code "\xn[Text]".

The windowskin will default to the one in the settings ("speech em" by default). You may specify one in the text command.
To use dark windowskins with the command \dxn, create a black windowskin in the Windowskins folder called "speech dark", or use this one!

You can customize it even further:
\xn[Text,colorbase,colorshadow,fontname,fontsize,alignment to force,X position,Y position,windowskin]
You can skip the ones you don't want to use, but still write the comma "," if you'll still be adding more parameters after a clear one.
Color → in Hex format. Here's a color picker/Hex to RRGGBB translator. Color Picker
Alignment → 0, left. 1, center. 2, right.
For example...
\xn[Complex,0073ff,7bbdef,Power Clear,28,2,150,80,speech frlg]

Presets
As some users demanded, you can now create your own presets (by default I provided three, xna, xnb and xnc) to use if you need a shortcut and save some typing/window space. \xna will only change color to red and \xnb will change it to blue both using defaults for everything else. \xnc is just an example for you to create another one. To find these presets just Ctrl+F "# START SAMPLES / PRESETS" to jump to the appropriate lines.

This will make any specific character dialogue much easier to script. Very nice job!
Hi, I'm using this script and it works but I can't use new samples. When I create a fourth one, it appears in the dialogue box as a text and it doesn't show the name window. I saw something related to the FORMATREGEXP in previous comments but I don't know what I have to change there.
I love it, I just have 1 question, i'm trying to change the font, but it doesn't allow me from its script section, it's only possible if I change the whole game's font from the MessageConfig section, which isn't what i'm looking for. Am I missing something or how can I do it so it just changes the window's font?
This script is a really great script! But I want to change the text style in the \dxn command. This is what it looks like in default format:
Pretty damn good and simple to use. But, is it possible to create more samples to use more easily. I've tried making a 4th sample but the script doesn't recognize it as a command
Great script. Clean, simple, and easy to use. Any plans to update it for Essentials 19.1?
The update reminded me I'd never written a review. I love this script! It's obviously handy, but it's also so easy to use and implement that I've been able to add it to existing games with no fuss. Thank you!
¡This is perfect! But, ¿can i change the Y position respect the textbox? i mean, if the textbox is up, the name window show under the textbox neither in the top? i talk spanish, and i will repeat in my language because i dont know if you undestand me
¿se puede cambiar la posición de la ventana con repecto a la textbox? quiero decir, si la textbox está arriba, que la name window aparezca debajo en lugar de arriba de la textbox ¿es posible?

This is now possible!
An excellent script, plug 'n play implementation, customizable window position (yay) and can really make a difference in text-heavy games which do not necessarily utilize portraits.
