A recreation of RegalSword's old "Screenshot Collage Templates" resource.
At some unspecified point in the past, all of the images on this resource broke, leaving many without readily accessible collages. This recreation aims to rectify that by updating the old images and even adding some new default options.
Details: Like the original, each individual cell is 512x384 px., or the same dimensions as the default Essentials screen size. You can theoretically have a collage as big as you desire, so long as it abides by this rule. (e.g. 2560x1920 px. will generate a 5x5 grid.)
Contents of .zip File:
Base collage templates for the following sizes:
2x2, 2x3, 2x4, 2x5.
3x2, 3x3, 3x4, 3x5.
4x2, 4x3, 4x4, 4x5.
5x2, 5x3, 5x4, 5x5.
How to use:
1.) F8 while in your game: This is Essential's default screen capture key and is also the ideal way to get your screenshots, as any in-game aesthetic modifications (e.g. fogs/weather/time tones/etc.) will show up.
2.) Find your saved screenshots: After F8ing, your screenshots will be saved to:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\[GAME'S NAME]
Or, in older versions of Essentials:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Saved Games\[GAME'S NAME]
These screenshots are saved under the date and time when the screenshot was taken in [YEAR-MONTH-DAY] HOUR_MINUTE_SECOND format as .png files.
3.) Open your image editing software of choice: In my case, I use Aseprite, so I'll go over the basic process for that one.
Open whichever size template you want to use.
Open your saved in-game screenshots.
Overlay the screenshots on top of the collage so they go exactly over the black borders.
Repeat until you're finished.
Note: Snapping features in softwares like Aseprite/Photoshop make this really quick and easy, if you use a grid that's either 16x16/32x32. (Technically there are others, but these two are the most common grid defaults for Pokémon fangames).
4.) You're done: You can now use your newly made collage to show off progress and for your game's threads and posts!
Example using the 3x3 template:
