- Pokémon Essentials Version
- v21.1 ✅
Based on the Overworld Shadow Ex, I created this small 'engine' that generates shadows which update with characters on the map.
Although functional, I still consider it to be in an experimental stage. It still needs some touch-ups and code cleaning, as well as fixing some remaining visual bugs. But here it is for anyone who wants to try it.
It should be noted that performance will decrease as more events with different graphics are on your maps. But at least in my case, on a 60x60 map with almost 100 characters, I only experienced a small delay of one or two seconds in loading the map (this is because it needs to create the shadow cache). I don't think I'll update it soon, because I have other things to do; but as I said at the beginning, the script is already functional.
In the folder, you will find another script that is a 'trick' way to fix its main bug. But those cases would be very specific and most people wouldn't even pay attention to them, but if you want to take a look, the script has instructions for use.
Extract the files into your respective projects (it never hurts to make a backup copy).
I'm leaving a link so you can see the different modes.
