Free Market

v21.1 Free Market 2.0.2

This resource pertains to version 21.1 of Pokémon Essentials.
Pokémon Essentials Version
v21.1 ✅
Also compatible with
  1. v20.1
Inspired by social media marketplaces and secondhand purchasing websites, this plugin allows you to purchase lots of items from NPCs in your game.

Version
  • This plugin works for v20.1 and v21.1
Features
  • Item Lots: Define item lots that can be sold in your game. You can also add generic lots on-the-fly during your game if you wish. These lots are very customizable. For instance, you can have your rival sell you 145 Masterballs for [imath]5, or that young trainer you met on Route 1 sell you 1 Pokeball for[/imath]500.
  • Pokemon Lots: Define lots where the player can buy Pokemon.
  • Trade Lots: Define lots where the player can trade Pokemon.
  • Player Lots: Allow the player to sell items in the Free Market. Items sold to NPCs in this way can be used throughout your game for things like adding purchased items to a trainer's item list in battle, or having an event occur if an NPC bought a specific item from the player.
  • Free Market: View all available lots from the Free Market app. You can customize how many lots are available to the player (maximum of 6), and can even expand it throughout the game using a variable (still a maximum of 6).
  • Market Regeneration: You can make the Free Market regenerate what item lots are available as frequent as once daily, or maybe on set days of the week. This keeps the Free Market fresh and allows the player to have a variety of options.
  • Multiple Currency Options: This plugin supports the currencies included in Pokemon Essentials by default: Gold, Battle Points, Coins, and even Soot. You can also add any custom currency your game has.
  • Social Links Integration: If you use the Social Links plugin, you can have your Social Links sell item lots as well. Starting with Social Links 1.2, purchasing lots from your Social Links can add a Moment, a step towards increasing your Bond with that Link.
Setup and Usage
Please use the Setup and Documentation document provided in the downloaded .zip for all the setup and how to use the Free Market.
You will need to configure lots for your game, so use the examples in 002_Configuration.

Future
  • Allowing the player to post an item lot for sale, and have an NPC purchase it.
  • Possibly allowing more than 6 lots to be available in the Free Market at once.
