Since Generation 6, official games have stopped displaying footprints in Pokedex. Gen 6 Footprints for v20+, Gen. VII Footprints for viewing on Pokedex and Gen. VIII Footprints for viewing on Pokedex provides the missing footprints and I rearrange and rename the pictures to use them in v20+.
Tutorials
Simply put all the sprites in Graphics/Pokemon/Footprints and nothing else!
Notice
Footprints of new Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus are not included since they are all in Caruban's Gen 9 Resource Pack.
