The Beginner's Guide to Game Development, and Dealing with your Emotions 1.0

this is a great resource for beginners with a really kind/motivational tone! the advice is on the simplistic side but i personally find simple advice to be very reassuring.
a part of this i feel needs more elaboration is in the pre-planning segment and what constitutes a "bare-bones skeleton" vs a fully visualized concept.

Thank you, I'll make sure to update the guide with the suggestions as soon as I can.
The few bits of passable advice are drowned under contradictory and poorly-worded self-assurances. At best I could say cut out 80% of the fat and some of the rotten meat and it might be helpful, but it offers little to no actual directions or actionable advice.

Thanks for taking the time to read, I'll try to compactize it going forward! That includes various edits in the future. You mentioned trimming 80% might make it more helpful, which suggests that 20% at least has helpful value. Is that really "little to no" actionable advice? xD. Then again, you have used "might" so that can also be as low as 0%. Oof.

Could you mention the contradictions? (likely the "your own flavor" part wasn't well-expressed in terms of it usually requiring learning it the proper way first, as it is presented as a no first, and as a yes, later). Thanks again.
