    I would recommend completely redownloading. This error message brings up code that no longer exists so something had to mess up somewhere. Your save file should be safe

    Yes there's a chance for shiny starters. And hisuian forms can be gotten using an Alternate Stone on the Pokémon that evolves into that form (like Cyndaquil, Petilil, etc)

    There's a way to check. Go to where the stats are on your Pokémon summary and hit the C button. It'll show Evolution, and it'll tell you how to evolve it
