It does not seem like this is even enforced. I have a Dratini on my team (not sure why it can’t learn scald). But it can’t and it still allows me to have him.- KidTrunks

How is the typing for the gym enforced? I am a water type gym leader and just caught a Dratini assuming it could learn scald since it can learn multiple other water type moves… It cannot learn scald and is not a water type, however I was still able to use it in my gym?
