  • Jesus Crist! This ain't no community the people around here aren't friendly I'm still just a new user that is why I don't come on here because I don't feel welcomed nor do people ever want to put effort into talking to me!

My thoughts: You might try the pokecommunity- they're faster. The General Discussion section here is glacially slow, with post before yours not having a response for 3 weeks! Getting mad at this is like getting mad at water for being wet. It's just how things are and simply asking for help won't change it. The forum is just still recovering from relic castle times.

Further, as a bit of a warning: If you're upset about the lack of responses now, prepare yourself for when you finish a game. Quite frankly, a lot of pretty good projects go unnoticed or uncommented upon and forgotten about. Personally, I'd like to play more of them myself- however, a lot of us just frankly lack the time because we're dedicating all our spare moments to our own projects already.

This board primarily just lets you advertise your project to the general public. Most people will also just quietly download your game without saying anything. I do genuinely wish you best of luck with what you're doing and hope it goes well- but if you're serious about making a game, taper your expectations because otherwise you're setting yourself up for disappointment long term.
What should engine I use to build my Pokémon Fangame on? Should I use good old Pokémon Essentials or the new sleek and modern Pokémon SDK? Which is easier to use?

Essentials is great for simple projects for what is designed and has years of community resources. That said, the moment you venture outside the engine's strict guidelines, it vomits a legion of demons that you then have to spend weeks exorcising (and can be fatal if you lack programming exp). Try both and start with small projects first to see what you prefer.
