loved this game, it really was a lot of fun, I often loose interest in some rom hacks not because they arent fun but because they are too long and samey but this was short sweet and simple.
one issue I had to come ask for help with is I have 6 hours in game and hunted all pokemon 67/69 and have not found Ditto....
edited because I forgot I need to breed for horsea, and I was given a male kingdra so I need ditto todo this... :(

Hello, and thank you for coming to Orchid Island! We appreciate you taking the time to help us with our research. My name is Maggie, and I'm a doctoral candidate of Pokémon Research, studying under Professor Elm. Ever since the rampaging Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage made news a year ago, Professor Elm has made studying alternately colored Pokémon a priority, and here on this newly unearthed island, they appear much more often! We notice that alternately colored Pokémon also reflect with bright light. It's for this reason that we've nicknamed them SHINY POKéMON. Professor Elm has set me on the hunt to learn more about these rare creatures.
FEATURING:
A manageable POKéDEX of 64 to find throughout the island!
A base shiny rate of 1/252! "Horde Pokémon" appearing on the overworld!
Different new ways to boost your odds of finding Shiny Pokémon! Shiny Evolutions (Pokémon that evolve only from Shiny Pokémon)!
A new Poké Ball that has a much higher catch rate on Shiny Pokémon! Cameos from well known Pokémon Characters
Loose usage of the "Rebirth" theme! Kinda! [The island emerged after Lugia's awakening]
NOTES:
This game was a lot of fun to make! It was interesting to mess around with scripts and play with different ways to modify the shiny rate, as well as getting the number of shinies to show on the Save Screen and in events. It was also very exciting to get gen-2 style overworld Pokémon running around. There are a lot of elements to this small game, and we hope that you enjoy it! If you're able to get all 69 shiny Pokémon, let us know!

* Time-wise the breakdown for my full playthru was the following:
2 hours to complete the "story"
3.5 hours to complete the POKéDEX
5.25 hours to catch all shinies and get the 100% true ending

EDIT: Version 1.1 is up due to several broken transition events. Nothing else was changed content-wise.
EDIT: Version 1.2 is up due to certain evolution methods not working. Nothing else was changed content-wise.
EDIT: Version 1.3 is up, due to a few hotfixes involving passability, breeding, and a line of pixels in the Sinistcha back sprite that was super annoying. Nothing else was changed content-wise.
So I'm having a lot of fun with the game, however I get an error message and become softlocked when my fogsire hits level 100. Is there a fix for this?

Please let us know what the error message is! We haven't stumbled upon it before in testing, but if it's really game breaking we'll absolutely put out a patch to fix it!
EDIT: We recreated the error, and after an hour or so of searching through the scripts and testing in our builds, earlier builds, and fresh kits, we've realized that there is some base error in the GSC Essentials! For now we'll consider this a known bug (don't get a Pokemon to level 100), and we'll try to chat with the folks who made GSC Essentials from Essentials 18 to get to the bottom of this--it only happens when it battle, not if you use a rare candy, etc. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Also I just found a super cool bug/exploit that makes eggs hatching super easy.
I found the bug by accident while breeding 2 shiny Meditite, I had a batch of eggs and while running in front of the daycare to make em hatch I decided to open the menu (pressing x) to save, in the exact same moment, one egg hatched (while the menu display was open in the backgroud the "Huh?" dialog poped in front of it) okay, the meditite hatched fine but... then another one hatched just after, and another... all the eggs hatched instantly and one of those I picked before saving so it was impossible for it to be just a huge coincidence
I checked my party after all the insta-hatching and all meditites where fine.
I tried for a second time and managed to replicate the bug and now in my third attempt I did the following:
go to the daycare man, pickup an egg, try to walk enough steps to claim all other 4 eggs without the first egg hatching (you can save once the full party is full of eggs), start walking around spamming the "x" button and once the first egg hatches the menu will also open and your party will insta-hactch all eggs.
super cool bug for everyone who dislikes Masuda method lol, you basically hatch 5 eggs by doing one cycle (please don't patch it lol)

What a fun exploit! We won't patch it, just like we won't patch the super secret method where you can pop a shiny lure and use sweet scent to never have to take any steps
